All feet are not the same. In addition to our regular stocked
sizes, Footskins® offers the option of moccasin footwear
custom made for your hard-to-fit or problem feet. We can custom
fit virtually any size/shape feet.
Custom made moccasin footwear
by Footskins® is handcrafted of soft, breathable deerskin
leather or genuine cowhide leather. Deerskin, which is known
for its ability to easily shape and contour to the foot, is
recommended for problem or sensitive feet. Custom footwear
is made from patterns that are individually constructed according
to the shape of your feet. We use the same quality materials
and workmanship that are a trademark of all of our moccasin
footwear.

custom deerskin or cowhide moccasin
footwear has met the needs for a variety of situations,
including extra wide/narrow feet, sensitive feet, and deformities
due to disease, surgery, etc. Our moccasins and other footwear
designs can be made to accommodate feet of all different sizes
and shapes, including two different size feet.
The softness of deerskin is very important for sensitive
feet, whether due to surgery, bunions, corns, etc., or even
diabetes. We have also made moccasins and moccasin footwear
for children with skin problems that require the extra softness
of deerskin or even sheepskin. Because deerskin is also lightweight,
it is especially appreciated by those with handicaps or those
who have problems with mobility.
Please Note: Although we do
our best to provide comfortable moccasin footwear for your
special needs or situation, our footwear is not designed to
fix foot problems, nor a substitute for medically prescribed
footwear.

Please follow these simple steps for both feet:
(Note: Do tracings and measurements with the type of sock you are planning to wear or without socks if you intend to wear them barefoot.)
Step One –
- While sitting, trace both feet on paper.
- Be sure to hold the pen completely vertical.
- Do not make allowances.
Step Two –
- Using a cloth tape, measure the circumference around the ball of the foot (just comfortable, don't pull too tight). The ball of the foot is the widest part of the foot, just behind the toes.
- Mark the measurement on your tracing at the point of the measurement and indicate the thickness of sock you will be wearing or if you'll be barefoot.
Step Three –
- Take a second measurement of the circumference of your foot 1 1/2 inches behind the first measurement (toward your ankle).
Step Four –
- Include any additional information that could affect the fit of shoes. This could include: sensitive areas such as corns, bunions, etc.; a deeper toe box; calf measurements for kneeboots, including height from floor.
Pricing for Custom Footwear:
- Custom made footwear is individually priced after receiving your foot tracings. The custom charge is usually $45 - $70 in addition to the cost of the style you select.
